First of many

The day did not go as planned but we still maximized our first month as an official couple.

Watched Orosman and Zafira in CCP. It is a play by the Dulaang UP which was staged several times in the past and now, symbolically staged for the last time on where it was staged for the first time.

According to WikiPilipinas, Orosman at Zafira (Orosman and Zafira) a komedya in three -acts, written by Francisco (Balagtas) Baltazar in 1857/1860. A komedya is colorful theatrical tradition in the Philippines that describes the conflicts between the Muslims and the Christians. It was used by the Spanish as a method to spread Christianity in the country. Orosman and Zafira is said to be one of the number of komedya written for the Teatro de Tondo between year 1857-1860, while in prison. 20th century, first staged on 1977 by Teatrong Pilipino at the Little Theater (now Tanghalang Aurelio V. Tolentino) of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP).

This verse play in Tagalog tells about fights in revenge in the kingdoms of the Middle East. However, it is said that this play strays from standard komedya beliefs: there is no Moro-Christian conflict, and heroes as well as villains are such because of character rather than religion.

"...these love affairs are tepid at best. Director Dexter Santos realizes that love need not be displayed. With the chorus crying "Kasumpa-sumpa man, pag-ibig, pag-ibig at pag-ibig pa rin!" on loop, Santos shows that love, before you even know it exists, can destroy you. He makes "Orosman at Zafira" as stunning with its polar perspectives on love— sustaining and rewarding, and shattering and cowering." source

Although it was so hard to understand the dialogues, I enjoyed the play but above all, I enjoyed the war dances.

We were so sleepy when we got to the hotel (see mom in the picture on her sleepwear, haha). We had Sweet Surrender as dessert and technically ransacked my mom's food while watching the Bench show in Abs-Cbn. I didn't know it was that wild, it's like the Victoria's Secret show of the Philippines. I definitely should watch that next year, yes mom? :)

This is just the first of our many months together, first of forever.
I love you so much honey!
You are my greatest source of happiness. Stay with me forever!
